Finding the Grave of Nat Gouge

On the Sunday after Easter in April 2012, our family went on a journey to find the gravesite of Nat Gouge - the Nat Gouge of Mitchell County murdered fame.

Here is my journal of that adventure and what we found...

Who else is researching the Conner Family? I have found Conners in Indiana, Missouri and Texas….Are they connected? How? So many questions with so few answers! Then there are the other parts to my blog: Second, the Gouge family is my husband’s family. They have their roots in Mitchell County and have a very rich history. The Gouge’s are connected to the Webb Family, Aiken Family and McCanless Family. Thirdly, I love to write and every-once-in-a-while I like to believe that God blessed me with a tiny insight that I enjoy sharing under the Snippets of Life tab.
